Why is the journey so long?

The roads from Bhuj to Patna are good and we are covering long distances. There are 2 days-breaks mapped in the itinerary to rest and address any contingencies. In North East however, the roads are all winding through mountains. It takes time to cover these distances. And, availability of hotels is limited so the route is mapped accordingly.

Can I join this drive in parts?

We highly recommend that you do the whole trip to get the excitement and achievement of driving from west to east most point of India. However, Yes you can join this drive in parts – Let us know what dates suit you and we will get back to you with options.

Can I join as a solo traveller?

I cannot drive, can I join this trip?

Can I get single occupancy for my stay?

Yes, you can – subject to availability. Especially in North east, the hotels have limited rooms, so stay will be on twin sharing basis for the last 8 days.

What are the type of hotels?

The stay will be in hotels like Radisson Blu or similar and the best available option in North East region. As we drive closer to Kibithoo the hotels will be basic and simple with dean beds and toilets.

Do all of your road trips have tour leaders?

All guided tours have a tour leader and support crew.

Who are the tour leaders and how experienced are they?

Embarq guided tours are led by our co-founders themselves. They have more than five years of experience in organising road trips and have scouted the routes beforehand.

Do we have to follow the tour leaders on a guided tour?

Yes. To get the best experience on our guided tours, we expect you to follow the group leader/lead vehicle.
